Town Meeting

June 8, 2010

Prairie Township Community Room

Meeting opened at 6:30 PM with Max Lines, Betty Gipe, and Sharon Jessup present.  Also present were: Scott Cronk, David and Sally Greene, and George Savage. Raul Pinon was absent due to being in Florida.

George’s hydrant was flushed.  New hydrant was installed at Walnut and High Street.

Upon trying to shut the old hydrant down, it blew.  Mrs. McCord’s basement flooded. She resides on the corner of High and Walnut.

Town hired James Blevins, as an individual contractor,  to mow yards which have not been mowed.

Sharon asked if Georgette Miles could concrete the alley by her property. She wants to concrete it from the garage to Walnut. The board had no problems with her doing so.

Betty reported that John Dillman agreed that the flag pole at the cemetery needed to be moved to the entrance.

Scott Cronk needs to be trained to shut the water down so there are at least 2 people who knows the correct procedure in shutting the water down in case of an emergency.

With on other business, register of vouchers signed, and meeting adjourned.
