Easy Glittering
First open an 500 pixel by 300 pixel transparent image in PSP (I use version 7)

I use a large one to start with, you can always crop it later. Your image will look like this.

Add any tubes or writing before going to the glitter step. This only applies to what you may not want glittered. Be sure to leave room for your glitter section. You may have an image such as the one below. I just used a tube and wrote Happy Birthday in the text.

As you can see, my image is a bit larger than what I really need so now we are going to crop it only to the size that I will be needing (shown as cropped below)

ok, now for the glittering part, insert the name you wish to use. Make sure you DO NOT deselect, leave the little marching ants surrounding the text until it is time.

Now go to effects, then noise, then add. I have used this setting

Click ok. It won't look like anything happened but it did.
Now go to Selections and select none, this will now take away the marching ants.
Now you must save this first image so go to Export and then to Gif Optimizer and save the image with a file name. I use image1.gif and so on. Do not take the original image down yet. (Hint: it is easier to find later if you save it to a file on desktop or save it directly to desktop)

Go to Edit and hit undo select none, undo add noise. Now you are ready to to the second image. Go to Effects, noise, and add. Change the amount of noise this time. I used 93 on my second image. Hit ok.

Then go to selections and hit select none. Now save this image the same way you did the first by going to file, export, gif optimizer. I saved my second image as image2.gif
Now you are ready to animate it. Remember you can have more than two images, depending upon your preference. This is only to give you the hang of doing it. When you get the hang of it and are comfortable, go on to adding another layer to give it a more sparkle effect.
