Animation With PSP 8 and 9
making an animated globe

1. Choose your images that you are going to use. You'll need;
glass globe, globe base, an image and some sparkle flairs.
(or you can download the zip file I have here for you.
Unzip them and place them in a folder marked globe).

ZIP

2. Now, open your image(picture, clipart or what ever you are
going to use inside the globe.

3. Draw a circle around the part you want to use, using your selection tool.
Be sure to set it on "circle".

4. Copy and paste it into a transparent window of 450x450.

5. Go to "selections", click. Then go to "float" and click(the marching ants
will appear).DO NOT deselect.

6. Now for your glass globe. Go to "edit", click on "Copy",then go back to your picture. Go to "edit" again and paste it(don't worry if it's larger
then your image)into your image using "paste into selection".
Now that was easy enough, right? Now deselect.

7. Now we will use our globe base. Size it to fit the bottom of your
glass globe(each base is different).

8. Copy and paste into the same transparent window as your glass globe.
Adjust it to fit the bottom of your glass globe(it should look like this).
Now go up to "layers", then scroll down to "merge visible" and click.

9. If you want to place font on your globe base or inside the globe itself,
now is the time to do so.(You'll have a mess if you try to put font on your globe after
you have made your copies).

10. Now you want to make 2 more copies of this. So hold your "shift key"
down and click on your "D" key.
Do this 2 times(you should have 3 globe images now).

11. Now it's time to use your sparkle or flair tube(i'm assuming you have put this into
your "jasc Software Inc/paint shop pro/picture tube" folder).
I used my sparkle sized at 75.

Now go up to "selections" and then scroll down to "float".
This will help you to keep your sparkles inside your globe area,
(if you go outside of your globe with the sparkle, you'll have a big surprise when you
view your animation.

12. Click inside your globe image in a random manner,(You can also resize your sparkle for each
of your globe images, they don't have to be all the same size).

13. Ok, now this is your last step. Save all 3 glass globe images as a gif. Save them as
image1, image2, and image3 gif's with your gif optimizer.

Go to "file", scroll down to "export", then go to GIF Optimizer.
