As you well know we all have raised children. Some were more difficult
than others. We've made our mistakes. Unfortunately none come with instructions
.
So we sit back and watch our children raise their children and occasionally we grin, recalling when
we had run into the same problems. But we hope that some of our rearing experience has rubbed off
onto our adult children.
We visit with our children and grandchildren on birthdays, holidays and yes even volunteer our
services as babysitters. Enjoying every moment we spend with our grandchildren. Then, one day
you've said or done something that one of the parents didn't like (not ever meaning to), and voila,
your grandchild is ripped from your loving arms.
The poor little tykes not knowing why gramma and grandpa are no longer around as often as
before.
So many of our adult children don't realize what an impact this has on the little ones, unless they're
selfish enough to say something in front of them.
So we sit back thinking of ways to straighten the mess out, but no one is willing to talk about it.
Then you get very angry and then you feel hurt. Meanwhile your missing out on seeing your
beloved grandchildren.
Does this sound all too familiar???
I'm hoping by organizing this page, a number of you will respond and between us all, we can make
a difference.
There was at one time an organization called Grandparents Coalition. I have no idea what
happened to them.
This is the third time my grandchildren have been kept from me and I'm getting "darned" tired of
our children using their children as tools to get to us!

Down further on this page, you will find a link to a website, letting
us know just how much we mean to those little guys. Please read.

Why Do You Cry...
I heard a whisper so quiet in the night.
At first I thought it was my love coming to say goodnight.
The rustling sounds came next to me.
Then a soft warm light.
An angel appeared and said to me..
"Why do you cry your tears of pain?"
I thought I heard the softest of sighs
when I could answer her not.
Again she said, "Why do you cry?"
I thought for a moment...
looking into my heart.
Searching for answers I knew not.
Finally I said to her..
"I cry for the things that are not to be."
With a touch of her hand upon my head
She told me that "dreams are for those who do not give up.
Dream your dreams long into your life.
Forgive those who hurt you.
Walk forward.
Never hold anything back.
Pray to God for guidance.
Walk into the sunlight.
Even when grayness fills your days.
Don't let shadows keep your heart in the dark."
With those words she was gone
taking with her that warm light.
I shook my head
not believing what I had seen.
But the proof of her existence
lay upon the pillow next to me.
A perfect feather as white as purity
her calling card left to me.
Her words etched forever in my memory.
